Basketball Hoop Hang

How it's done

Your elf is ready for game time, perched right on the rim of the basketball hoop in the garage. Kids will spot their friend dangling by the plastic net or sitting firmly on the backboard like a pro athlete. This setup takes less than five minutes to execute and leaves behind zero mess for you to clear up later. It works perfectly for children between the ages of three and ten who need a quick morning surprise before school. This simple garage setup was Inspired by So Easy Being Green.

Pets in the house?

Should be fine around pets as long as you place it out of reach.

Why this works

Garage scenes feel like hidden discovery, the elf isn't where it 'should' be. Works great for families who visit the garage daily. Difficulty 2 means it uses items you already own and takes about five minutes, quick but visibly intentional.

Variations

  • Bigger-kid twist: For an older crowd that sees through simple scenes, step up to Barbie Car Mechanic , same room, cleverer setup.

If it doesn't go to plan

If the elf ends up too well-hidden and the kids can't find it, nudge them with a vague hint ("Looks like our elf went somewhere cozy"), the discovery is the point.
