Coffee Container Hider
How it's done
When your children wander into the kitchen for breakfast, they will find their scout elf lounging comfortably inside the open coffee container. The elf is positioned to look like they are taking a cozy rest among the grounds, perhaps peeking out over the rim. You only need an empty or partially full coffee container to pull this off, making it a perfect low-effort win for a busy weeknight. Since there is almost no cleanup involved, this setup is ideal for parents who want a quick visual joke before heading to work. This scene was inspired by So Easy Being Green.
Should be fine around pets as long as you place it out of reach.
Why this works
The kitchen is the first room most kids visit in the morning, for cereal, for milk, for the toaster. An elf scene staged here has the highest odds of being the first thing your child spots and shouts about. Difficulty 2 means it uses items you already own and takes about five minutes, quick but visibly intentional.

If it doesn't go to plan
If the elf ends up too well-hidden and the kids can't find it, nudge them with a vague hint ("Looks like our elf went somewhere cozy"), the discovery is the point.
