Coffee Mug Lounger
How it's done
Place your elf inside a large kitchen mug so that only their head and shoulders are visible above the rim. It looks like the scout is enjoying a quiet morning break while waiting for the household to wake up. This setup is perfect for younger children who are still learning how the elf moves and is extremely easy to pull off before coffee time. Why this works
The kitchen is the first room most kids visit in the morning, for cereal, for milk, for the toaster. An elf scene staged here has the highest odds of being the first thing your child spots and shouts about. If it doesn't go to plan
If the elf ends up too well-hidden and the kids can't find it, nudge them with a vague hint ("Looks like our elf went somewhere cozy"), the discovery is the point.
