Door Climbing Gift Bows

How it's done

Your elf creates an impromptu climbing wall by sticking several colorful adhesive gift bows directly onto the surface of an entryway door. To complete the look, position your elf in a climbing pose as if they are mid-ascent toward the top of the door frame. This setup is incredibly quick to assemble in under five minutes, making it a perfect solution for a late night. Since the bows peel off easily in the morning, cleanup is essentially nonexistent. This display is a great pick for children between 3 and 10 who enjoy spotting their elf in an active position. Inspired by Bored Panda.

Pets in the house?

Should be fine around pets as long as you place it out of reach.

Why this works

Entryway scenes are high-traffic and time-flexible, the elf greets arrivals whether it's 7am breakfast or a 4pm return from school. Difficulty 2 means it uses items you already own and takes about five minutes, quick but visibly intentional.

Variations

If it doesn't go to plan

If the elf ends up too well-hidden and the kids can't find it, nudge them with a vague hint ("Looks like our elf went somewhere cozy"), the discovery is the point.
