Elf Menu

How it's done

Place a clean dinner plate on the table with a small paper menu listing funny items like beetle juice or candy cane soup. Position your elf standing upright next to the plate, holding a pen as if they are ready to take a reservation. This setup takes less than five minutes and requires absolutely no cleanup, making it a perfect low-stress option for busy weeknights. It works well for children ages four to ten who enjoy imaginative food themes. This scene is Inspired by Make the Best of Everything.

Pets in the house?

Should be fine around pets as long as you place it out of reach.

Why this works

Dining-room scenes own the breakfast reveal, kids are already sitting down to eat when they spot the elf holding court over the table. Difficulty 2 means it uses items you already own and takes about five minutes, quick but visibly intentional.

If it doesn't go to plan

If the elf ends up too well-hidden and the kids can't find it, nudge them with a vague hint ("Looks like our elf went somewhere cozy"), the discovery is the point.
