Hanging Around in Underwear

How it's done

Your elf is having a relatable moment in the laundry room by hanging out on a makeshift clothesline. You simply string a piece of twine between two cabinets and use small clothespins to hang your elf up by their hands or feet. The elf is dressed only in a tiny pair of doll-sized underwear to sell the laundry day theme. This setup takes less than five minutes and requires absolutely no cleanup, making it a perfect quick win for busy parents. Inspired by Make the Best of Everything.

Pets in the house?

Should be fine around pets as long as you place it out of reach.

Why this works

Laundry room scenes play the comedy of chores. The elf caught 'folding' mismatched socks or 'ironing' chips is a scene kids associate with their own daily routine. Difficulty 2 means it uses items you already own and takes about five minutes, quick but visibly intentional.

Variations

If it doesn't go to plan

If the elf ends up too well-hidden and the kids can't find it, nudge them with a vague hint ("Looks like our elf went somewhere cozy"), the discovery is the point.
