How it's done
Your elf is tucking themselves deep inside a child's favorite slipper for a cozy morning nap. When your child wakes up and looks for their shoes to start the day, they will find their scout peeking out from the toe area. This setup takes less than five minutes to arrange and requires absolutely no cleanup, making it a perfect choice for a busy school night. It is suitable for toddlers and older children alike, as the slipper remains fully functional and ready to wear once the elf heads back to the shelf. This scene was Inspired by Clara and Macy.

Why this works
Bedroom scenes work best as an evening reveal, kids find the elf when they climb into bed. Bedtime is when a cozy, low-mess scene lands hardest. Difficulty 2 means it uses items you already own and takes about five minutes, quick but visibly intentional.

If it doesn't go to plan
If the elf ends up too well-hidden and the kids can't find it, nudge them with a vague hint ("Looks like our elf went somewhere cozy"), the discovery is the point.
