Sugar Snow Lounging
How it's done
Your kitchen counter transforms into a winter wonderland when you pour a small, rounded mound of granulated sugar to create a makeshift snowbank. Your elf sits perched on top with their legs stretched out as if they are lounging on a snowy beach. Since this only requires a quick pour and a few seconds to position the figure, it is a perfect solution for a busy weeknight. Why this works

If it doesn't go to plan
If the elf ends up too well-hidden and the kids can't find it, nudge them with a vague hint ("Looks like our elf went somewhere cozy"), the discovery is the point.
