How it's done
Your elf is tucking in for a long nap inside an empty tissue box that has been converted into a cozy makeshift bed. Simply lay a small blanket or a washcloth inside the box so your elf looks snug and ready for a quiet morning. This setup works well in a bedroom because it keeps the elf out of reach from curious pets while providing a cute, low-key discovery for children ages three to ten. Cleanup takes seconds since you only need to discard the box when finished. Inspired by Clara and Macy.

Why this works
Bedroom scenes work best as an evening reveal, kids find the elf when they climb into bed. Bedtime is when a cozy, low-mess scene lands hardest. Difficulty 2 means it uses items you already own and takes about five minutes, quick but visibly intentional.

- Bigger-kid twist: For an older crowd that sees through simple scenes, step up to Balloon Door Crepe Blockade , same room, cleverer setup.
If it doesn't go to plan
If the elf ends up too well-hidden and the kids can't find it, nudge them with a vague hint ("Looks like our elf went somewhere cozy"), the discovery is the point.
