TP Roll Stair Tumbler

How it's done

Your elf has transformed a standard roll of toilet paper into a personal vehicle for a daring slide down the staircase. Simply wedge your elf into the center of the roll and position them near the top of the stairs to make it look like they are in mid-tumble. This setup takes less than five minutes to arrange and involves zero cleanup the next morning. It is a perfect choice for younger children who will find the chaos of the unrolling paper hilarious. Pets in the house?

Should be fine around pets as long as you place it out of reach.

Why this works

Staircase scenes turn the whole flight into a stage. A candy-cane zip line or TP-tube sled uses the geometry of a normal space in a way kids never expect. Difficulty 2 means it uses items you already own and takes about five minutes, quick but visibly intentional.

If it doesn't go to plan

If the elf ends up too well-hidden and the kids can't find it, nudge them with a vague hint ("Looks like our elf went somewhere cozy"), the discovery is the point.
