Yellow Lemonade Shot
How it's done
Set your elf up at the kitchen table with a tiny glass of freshly squeezed lemonade. Position your elf sitting next to the cup while holding a small, hand-written note that jokes about them needing a midday pick-me-up. Using two or three real lemons as a garnish adds a realistic touch that kids find funny without requiring any real crafting skills. Because you are only pouring a small amount of liquid, cleanup takes less than a minute the next morning. Why this works
The kitchen is the first room most kids visit in the morning, for cereal, for milk, for the toaster. If it doesn't go to plan
If the elf ends up too well-hidden and the kids can't find it, nudge them with a vague hint ("Looks like our elf went somewhere cozy"), the discovery is the point.
